Empowering Everyday Women launches its ‘Feed 5,000’ Thanksgiving Food Drive
BUFFALO, NY, Oct. 29, 2019 /EEWNewswire/ -- One in nine people in the U.S. might not know where their next meal is coming from, and Empowering Everyday Women, Inc. is pleased to launch its Feed 5,000 Thanksgiving Food Drive to help change that. From Oct. 29 through Nov. 20, a percentage of donations at EmpoweringEverydayWomen.org will go toward feeding those in need through local food banks.
“Our Feed 5,000 Thanksgiving Food Drive is inspired by Matthew 14:13-21 when Jesus saw that the food supply was not enough to feed the masses, and He had compassion on the crowd by multiplying the two fish and five loaves,” said Amy Bertinelli, publicist for our 501c3 nonprofit.
“Through our Feed 5,000 campaign, we’re doing our part to help end hunger and minister to the needs of those in our community who would not have a Thanksgiving meal to feed their family without the generosity of others.”
“We’re so excited to make our generous donors and partners aware of this giving opportunity to help feed families,” said Dianna Hobbs, CEO of Empowering Everyday Women. “We are radical givers, and with God’s help and others’ support we can make a radical, positive difference by fighting hunger this holiday season.”
In addition to getting food on the tables of the those who need it most, our Feeding 5,000 Thanksgiving Food Drive is designed to bring awareness to food insecurity, educate the public about the problem of hunger, and protect people from going hungry.
It is our belief that individuals, charities, businesses and government all have a role in ending hunger.
