Easter in Action: Serving 153 Families with Love
A Resurrection Day Message from the Founder of Empowering Everyday Women
On Saturday morning, as dawn broke, our Empowering Everyday Women Ministries crew gathered with one purpose: to share God’s abundant love in the most practical way, feeding the hungry.
Though a health challenge kept me from joining in person, my heart overflowed with joy as I heard the stories pour in.
One story, in particular, stayed with me—a young mother, eyes brimming with gratitude, who said the free Easter meal was the first time in weeks her family could gather without worry. These moments remind us why we serve and fill us with gratitude for your support, which makes this ministry possible.
By day’s end, 153 families, each with their own struggles and hopes, received not just Easter meals, but a reminder that they are seen, loved, and never alone (Matthew 25:35-40).
Glory to God!
You know what's extra amazing about this? The number 153 mirrors the miraculous catch of fish Jesus provided His disciples after His resurrection (John 21), a sign that the God who conquered death cares deeply about empty nets and hungry hearts (John 6:35).
This is resurrection in real time: hope with skin on. Just as the stone was rolled away to reveal new life (Luke 24:2-6), every hot plate, every bag of nonperishable food, every prayer shared (James 5:16) helped roll away stones of worry from families’ hearts.
Every child’s smile at an Easter treat and every volunteer’s warm greeting are vivid signs of hope rising from despair (Romans 15:13).
Isn't that just marvelous?
The miracle of Easter isn’t only that Jesus rose from the dead, though that changes everything (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). The miracle lives on because His resurrection power dwells in us (Romans 8:11), urging us to rise up, reach out, and lift burdens in our community.
Thank you for helping us do that by being such a faithful supporter, consistently praying, giving, and serving.
This Resurrection celebration season, we’re reminded of the beautiful cycle of God’s Kingdom: we who have received so much are privileged to give, serve, and love, becoming channels of the same power that raised Christ from the dead (Acts 1:8; Matthew 10:8).
To every volunteer, donor, and prayer warrior who made this outreach possible: thank you.
You didn’t just provide meals, you sparked hope. You didn’t just fill stomachs, you filled hearts. You showed that the resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate, it’s something we live (James 2:14-17).
Isn't it a blessing to know that Jesus is alive, and His power and love are alive in us?
