A Vision of Hope: A Conversation with Our Founder Dianna Hobbs
As we begin an exciting new chapter at EEW Ministries, I sat down with our founder Dianna Hobbs to discuss the expansion of our food security mission. Her passion for serving others has guided our ministry since day one, and as you'll see, that same spirit drives our vision for 2025 and beyond.
"The numbers only tell part of our story," Dianna tells me, leaning forward in her chair at our ministry headquarters. "Behind every statistic is a mother trying to feed her children, a senior choosing between medicine and meals, a family facing impossible choices."
It's this intimate understanding of our community's struggles that has shaped EEW's latest initiative. When I ask what prompted this season of growth, Dianna's response is characteristically thoughtful.
"Scripture tells us that faith without works is dead," she explains. "When Jesus said, 'I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,' He was giving us our marching orders. The need in our community isn't just growing – it's evolving. We have to evolve too."
Building Stronger Communities
This evolution is already visible in our ministry's operations. Our team has been working behind the scenes to forge new partnerships and expand our distribution networks. Dianna's eyes light up as she describes the opportunities ahead.
"God has opened doors we never imagined possible," she shares. "Local churches are stepping up. Businesses are reaching out. Individual donors are catching the vision. It's humbling to watch the Body of Christ come together like this."
Our expansion focuses on three key areas that Dianna believes will create lasting change:
First, we're significantly increasing our distribution capacity. This means more food, more often, reaching more families.
Second, we're developing strategic partnerships with organizations that share our heart for service. These collaborations will help us reach underserved areas more effectively.
Third, we're launching comprehensive support services. "Food assistance often addresses an immediate crisis," Dianna notes, "but many families need additional support to achieve stability. We're building programs to meet those deeper needs."
Faith at Work
Having watched Dianna lead our ministry through both challenges and victories, I know her faith is the foundation of everything we do. When I mention this, she nods.
"Faith isn't just what we believe – it's what we do," she says. "We've seen God multiply our resources time and time again, but He often works through people who step out in obedience to give and serve."
Looking to Tomorrow
As our conversation turns to the future, Dianna's vision extends well beyond 2025. She outlines plans for:
• Expanding our food security programs into new communities
• Strengthening partnerships with local churches
• Developing pathways from crisis response to long-term stability

"Remember the loaves and fishes," she smiles. "Jesus took one child's lunch and fed thousands. That's what happens when we bring what we have – whether it's time, resources, or talents – and offer it in faith. Every act of generosity matters. Every prayer makes a difference."
