A New Year letter from our founder Dianna Hobbs
As we look out into the world and see all the pain and suffering, it is heartbreaking. Yet, we are not powerless to act. We can do something about it.
I am encouraged by Acts 10:38 that tells us, Jesus went about doing good and healing those who were oppressed. Our 2021 goal at Empowering Everyday Women Ministries is simple. We aim to be like Jesus, going about doing good and healing those who are oppressed by sharing the gospel and meeting practical needs.
In 2020, despite a raging pandemic, joblessness, economic instability and changing times that left us all a bit off-kilter, we banded together and did the work of the Lord. The beauty of the saints’ generosity will never be forgotten, as it was reminiscent of the early church in Acts 2. Scripture says, those who were well-off sold their possessions and distributed the proceeds among those who were less fortunate, so there was no lack among any of them.
Our 501c3 nonprofit has seen that kind of selflessness over the past 12 months, and we are believing God to continue that trend of lavish generosity and kindness in uncertain times.
Join us this year and be a part of our efforts to do the following:
Nourish the hungry through our feeding programs.
Win souls for Christ through our Bible and resource distribution.
Share the message of hope globally through our Christian broadcasts and digital content.
Reach out to those who are overlooked and under-served through numerous charitable initiatives and events throughout the year geared toward alleviating human suffering.
Though we don’t yet know what 2021 holds, we do know who holds the future firmly in His grasp. Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, is still going about doing good and healing those who are oppressed, and He’s using our hands to accomplish it.
Won’t you let Him use your hands too? Why not kick the year off right by giving a generous tax-deductible gift to help those in need? God will surely reward you for your giving and heal the broken through your kindness.
Thank you in advance for helping us be a blessing, and may God bless you abundantly in the New Year and the years to come.
In His Service,
Dianna Hobbs, Founder
